Kate Upton Blasts Baseball Writers After Fiance Justin Verlander Finishes 2nd in Cy Young Voting

Supermodel Kate Upton fired off some strongly worded tweets late Wednesday after her fiance, Detroit Tigers’ pitcher Justin Verlander, finished second in the American League Cy Young voting.

Rick Porcello of the Boston Red Sox, who led the majors with 22 wins, beat out Verlander and Cleveland's Corey Kluber.

Porcello, however, got just eight first-place votes from members of the Baseball Writers' Association of America, while Verlander drew 14. But Porcello drew more support across the board and was listed by all 30 voters; Verlander was left off two ballots.

On Twitter, Upton was clearly unhappy with the results. One tweet, in which she wondered which two writers didn't have Verlander on their ballots, included an obscenity. In others, she just seemed mad and exasperated.
