Marvel's ‘The Inhumans' Will Hit The Big Screen Next Fall

The first two episodes will run globally in IMAX for two weeks in September 2017

"Marvel's The Inhumans" is coming to the big screen--seriously.

Marvel Television and Disney|ABC Television group announced Monday the new TV series would premiere in IMAX commercial theaters.

A version of the first two episodes will run globally in IMAX for two weeks at the beginning of September 2017. According to a news release from Marvel, ABC then plans to premiere the series in the fall, with exclusive content only seen on the network.

"This unprecedented alliance represents a bold, innovative approach to launching great TV content for a worldwide audience," said Ben Sherwood, co-chairman, Disney Media Networks and president, Disney|ABC Television Group. "It highlights Disney|ABC’s unrelenting commitment to finding new and creative ways to showcasing our very best programming and increasing global engagement and reach."

The Inhumans are a superhuman race with diverse, unique powers. They are some of the most popular Marvel characters, first introduced to the superhero scene by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965.

"'Marvel’s The Inhumans' will explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family," the release says.
