Four people have been displaced after a 2-alarm fire burned through a home in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood early Saturday morning.
Firefighters responded to the fire on Drayton Avenue shortly before 4a.m. Frigid temperatures and frozen hydrants made fighting the fire challenging.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital to be treated for a minor injury. No residents were injured in the blaze.
Officials say the fire originated from the second and third floors and caused an estimated $150,000 in damages.
Fire officials are urging people to locate and dig out their area fire hydrants near their residence in case of emergency.
"Please shovel out your fire hydrant and helps us out in that way if you can," said Boston Fire deputy chief Andre Stallworth.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
