2 Arrested, Including Manager, in Burger King ‘Fries Extra Crispy' Drug Bust

Police say customers would ask for “fries extra crispy” and Garrett Norris would deliver the marijuana in a coffee cup.

Officials say a manager and an employee of an Epping, New Hampshire, Burger King used a code phrase as part of a marijuana dealing operation for customers.

Police say Garrett Norris, 20, and Meagan Dearborn, 19, were arrested after an undercover operation on Jan. 21.

Customers would allegedly pull up to the drive-thru window and asked if "nasty boy," Norris' nickname, was working, according to police. When the employee said yes, the customer would ask for “fries extra crispy” and Norris would deliver the marijuana in a coffee cup.

Norris was charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute. Dearborn, a shift manager, was charged with conspiracy to distribute a controlled drug and unlawful possession of alcohol. Police believe Dearborn was working with Norris to sell the drugs. She she has denied any involvement.

Dearborn was working at the Burger King Thursday and told NBC Boston she didn't want to talk about the charges. It remains unclear if Norris still remains employed at the restaurant.

Burger King corporate did not return a request for comment.

They were both released on personal recognizance bail and will appear in court on Feb. 28.
