Bruins Captain Zdeno Chara to Miss 4 Weeks With MCL Injury

Boston also provided injury updates for Patrice Bergeron and John Moore

The Boston Bruins will be without some key players who are dealing with various injuries.

The team announced captain Zdeno Chara will be out for at least four weeks after injuring his left MCL.

Chara suffered the injury during the first period of the team's Nov. 14 game against Colorado.

He will be re-evaluated in approximately four weeks.

The Bruins also said Saturday that Patrice Bergeron and John Moore will travel back to Boston, cutting short their time on the team's current road trip.

Forward Bergeron (upper body) and defenseman Moore (lower body) will have their injuries re-evaluated by team doctors.

The organization will issue further updates when they are available.
