Coast Guard Calls Off Search for Missing Man in Nahant, Mass.

The Coast Guard has called off the search for a man missing in the water in the area of Nahant Bay, off of the town of Nahant, Massachusetts.

Watertown resident Nolan Gargas, 26, was first reported missing by his family to the Watertown Police Department around 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.

His car was found near the water in the East Point area Nahant at about 4:00 a.m., according to police.

Sunday, local and state police along with the Coast Guard searched the area - land and sea - for any sign of Nolan.

Gargas’ mother says he is a graduate of Berkelee School of Music and works as sound engineer.

He loves to hike, according to his mom, and she says he visits Nahant to take photos of the sunrise.

The coast guard has stopped searching and will not start Monday unless there's a development.
