D Street Dueling Pianos Could Be Coming to Boston Seaport

It looks like a piano bar may be on its way to a hotel in South Boston, though very little is known about the place at this point in time.

According to a post in the Fort Point Boston blog, a meeting with the Fort Point Neighborhood Association is coming up on Tuesday, May 23 that will look into plans for a proposed spot called D Street Dueling Pianos, which would be opening at the Element Boston Seaport.(across from the Lawn on D and the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center). No other information about the place has been given, other than the fact that it is seeking liquor and entertainment licenses.

Currently, the only other dueling piano bar in Boston is Howl at the Moon in the Financial District; another piano spot called Jake Ivory's closed its doors in the Fenway area about eight years ago.

The Element Boston Seaport is located at 391-395 D Street in Southie.

Thanks to a source for initially bringing this to our attention.
