    Chef Ernie Campbell has been cooking since he arrived in Boston from Jamaica in 2001 and ultimately decided that the community was missing true Jamaican food.

    The Boston community means the world to the staff of Jamaica Mi Hungry, which aims to make authentic Jamaican food mainstream in the Hub.

    Chef Ernie Campbell has been cooking since he arrived in Boston from Jamaica in 2001 and ultimately decided that the community was missing true Jamaican food. 

    After several years of running a full-service catering business in the area, Campbell launched the truck in 2016.

    Truck Manager Aquila, who asked us not to use her last name, said, "We're known for our jerk chicken. Our jerk is a little bit more different than the typical jerk. We make our own jerk sauce and we top it with our tropical chutney." 

    On their truck, you'll find multiple curries, including chicken, goat and vegetable.

    Their beef patty with coco bread is aptly named the "Jamaica Mi Hungry" sandwich.

    Aquila added, "I love our customers because our customers are just the best. They're really, really friendly. They're dedicated to us."

    The Jamaica Mi Hungry food truck schedule is as follows:

    Wednesday

    Greenway at Milk Street - 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

    Friday

    Greenway at High Street - 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

    Sunday

    SoWa (Harrison Avenue) - 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (Select Sundays)
