The North East of the Border food truck wants to serve you an authentic Mexican street food experience.
Executive Chef and Chief Operations Officer Gustavo Lecanda, along with Chief Executive Officer Chris Wandell, wanted to bring food from Mexico to New England.
"I’m from Mexico and we thought bringing the concept here to Boston would be a great idea," said Lecanda. "We moved here three years ago. We started business three years ago. It’s been very successful so far."
You'll find a wide variety of freshly-grilled tacos at the truck. Ingredients like barbacoa, carne asada and grilled fish are prepared, cooked, and made into a fresh taco.
"Everything we do from bottom, from scratch as we can do it. Our recipes are authentic from Mexico. And people love this idea of having authentic Mexican street tacos," said Lecanda.
Lecanda said he loves being part of Boston's food truck scene.
"It’s the passion for the food. I love what I do. I believe that if you want to do something you have to be passionate for it though. So I’ve been working in restaurants for 24 years. I love what I do. This is a family business."
