Picture some of your favorite home-cooked meals. Now picture them on the go.

The Roving Lunchbox has some classic meals in the form of a hand pie, so you can eat them as you traipse around Boston.

Owner Melissa Lynch began the truck after having success with her hand pies at farmer's markets. The original recipe came from her family in the Welsh countryside, who brought it over to America.

"We started out with Cornish pasty, which is a family recipe that my mother brought over from Britain," said Lynch. "We do all different kinds of flavors now. We’ve got basically any kind of comfort food you can think of. We try it in a pie and sell those on the truck."

Customers can get savory flavors like chicken pot pie, a classic Reuben, and beef empanada, as well as sweet pastries, such as cherry vanilla, peach bourbon, and raspberry Nutella.

Lynch says there's a pie for everyone and that customers always love the crust. She also hopes to expand.

"We’re also doing pop-ups, making plans to do pop-ups. And if that leads to maybe a brick and mortar that would be fantastic," said Lynch.
