Harvard Dental School Evacuated Due to Hazmat Death

Harvard University's dental school was evacuated on Friday morning due to a hazardous materials situation.

Boston police said they responded to the Harvard School of Dental Medicine at 190 Longwood Avenue around 10 a.m. for a report of an unresponsive person.

Police said there is a death at the location that appears to be a suicide and the medical examiner is working to determine a cause.

The victim's identity has not been released.

A hazardous materials team responded because police reportedly discovered a bag of unidentified chemicals beside the victim.

The air inside and around the lab where the body was found was tested and nothing harmful was found.

The area around Louis Pasteur Drive and Longwood Avenue was closed off for the investigation. It has since reopened, as has the evacuated building.
