J&M Diner in Framingham Destroyed in Fire

A popular diner west of Boston was one of a number of businesses that was destroyed in a fire earlier today.

According to several sources (as well as an article from 7 News Boston), J&M Diner in Framingham was one of 11 businesses at the Old Path Village Plaza that were hit by a blaze that started sometime between 1:30 AM and 2:00 AM. The post says that high winds caused the fire to spread quickly, while bitterly cold temperatures made the blaze particularly tough to knock out because of water from the hoses quickly freezing. A Facebook post from the restaurant says that "20 years & J&M Diner is gone just like that. We are in shock and heartbroken." All 11 businesses at the shopping center were destroyed, according to 7 News.

It is not yet known whether J&M Diner might try to rebuild; as soon as we hear more, we will post an update here.

The Old Path Village Plaza is located at 969 Concord Street.
