A Massachusetts man already being held on $100,000 cash bail following his arraignment last month for possession and distribution of child pornography, appeared in court Friday on child rape and sexual assault charges.
Darryl Moore, 37, of Rowley and Lynn, was arraigned Friday in Newburyport District Court on 9 counts of aggravated rape of a child under 16, posing a child in sexual acts, drugging a person for sexual intercourse, and indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.
Authorities said Moore is depicted raping a child in some of the images found during the investigation of the child pornography case.
Moore was ordered held on bail after appearing in court on July 18 when he was arraigned for possession and distribution of child pornography.
In Friday's case, the judge ordered Moore held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing which is scheduled for Aug. 23.
Moore is represented by Attorney Nicole Bluefort.
