The fire department says flames were reported around 2 a.m. Saturday at 656 East St.

The fire quickly reached two alarms, and firefighters were forced to battle the barn blaze from the outside.

The building is a total loss after being consumed by the fast-moving fire.

Officials say no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time and is under investigation.
