A Lawrence, Massachusetts woman was found dead in her home and her boyfriend has been placed under arrest.
Tony Ventura, 32, is accused of killing his girlfriend, 32-year-old Maria Morton, in her home, according to the Essex County District Attorney.
Police first responded to an apartment on 305 Prospect Street around 12 p.m. on Sunday. When they arrived, officers discovered Morton was dead and determined it was a homicide.
Neighbors are still waiting to find out what exactly happened.
“They need to find [the suspect] real quick, because I don’t feel safe where I live,” said neighbor Luis Felix.
Along with Lawrence State Police, Massachusetts State Police are investigating.
