A sand dune caved inward in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, taking part of a parking lot - and a car - with it.
The parking lot, which abuts Cahoon Hollow Beach, belongs to the Beachcomber, a popular Cape Cod restaurant and bar.
Wellfleet police said the dune caved as a result of being washed out during a rain storm overnight on Friday. Both police and fire responded to the incident around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday but the affected area could not be secured.
Officials said there were no injuries associated with the collapse.
The car was extracted from the sand collapse on Saturday mid-morning with no additional harm to the environment.
The parking lot is being closed off from the public with fencing.
