1 Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Route 1 in Foxboro, Massachusetts

One person was killed in a car versus motorcycle crash on Route 1 in Foxboro, Massachusetts, on Friday morning.

The crash occurred around 8:50 a.m. near the state police barracks just north of Main Street.

The motorcycle operator, identified Monday as 56-year-old Stephen Boyd of Millis, was killed in the crash. His identity is being withheld pending the notification of family members.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix was heading north on Route 1 when it took a left turn to enter a parking lot. A 2009 Harley Davidson Road King was traveling south on Route 1 in the right travel lane and struck the rear right side of the car.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No further information was immediately available.
