Boston's Commonwealth Avenue Mall Gets Spring Cleaning

The Commonwealth Avenue Mall is ready for spring.

On Sunday morning, more than 40 volunteers of the International WeLoveU Foundation joined Boston's Park and Recreation Department to clean up the green link between the Public Garden and Frederick Law Olmsted's park system.

Volunteers collected trash and debris as the city transitions from winter to spring. The goal of the event was to maintain a safer and friendlier environment for the community.

The cleanup was part of WeLoveU's Clean WORLD Movement, a global effort to raise awareness of the importance of environmental protection in the face of climate change.
