Tony Bettencourt (62 Restaurant & Wine Bar, A Mano) to Open Alto Forno in Peabody

A chef and restaurateur whose previous two dining spots were located in Salem will be opening a new restaurant in Peabody.

According to a source, Tony Bettencourt of the now-closed 62 Restaurant & Wine Bar and A Mano is planning to open Alto Forno, which a Craigslist job post says will be an upscale fine dining spot with a wood burning oven and handmade pasta. Based on Bettencourt's Facebook page and the job post, it looks like the new restaurant could be opening later this month, though no specific opening date has been given as of yet.

62 Restaurant & Wine Bar closed in the fall of 2015, with A Mano taking over the space for approximately a year before it closed as well.

It looks like the address for Alto Forno will be 41 Cross Street in Peabody.
