Verdict to Be Announced Thursday in Blackstone ‘House of Horrors' Trial

Following more than a week of testimony revealing shocking new details in the Blackstone, Massachusetts "House of Horrors" trial, a judge has reached a verdict.

The fate of 35-year-old Erika Murray will be announced at 11 a.m. Thursday. The defendant waived her right to a jury trial, and Judge Janet Kenton-Walker will decide whether or not Murray will be found guilty of second-degree murder for killing one of the three dead babies found in her squalid home in September 2014.

Murray initially faced two second-degree murder charges for two of the three dead babies found in the house, but Kenton-Walker tossed one of the charges after prosecutors failed to prove one of the infants was ever alive.

Murray also faces assault and battery charges for leaving her 3-year-old and 5-month-old daughters – whom she had raised in secret – in the home alone, covered in feces.
