Boston Public Schools Close Ahead of Storm

Worcester, Framingham to Boston commuter services, along with Connecticut commuter services, are now cancelled

The region's largest school district announced classes have been canceled ahead of Thursday's nor'easter, which is expected to bring up to a foot of snow to southern New England.

Boston Public Schools said the closures are due to the approaching storm.

Meanwhile, the cities of Gloucester and Salem, Massachusetts, and Newport, Rhode Island, have declared snow emergencies.

Peter Pan Bus Lines has canceled all service for New England on Thursday ahead of a massive winter storm approaching the region.

Worcester, Framingham to Boston commuter services, along with Connecticut commuter services, are now canceled. All Foxwoods casino services are canceled as well.

Meanwhile, Connecticut's Department of Motor Vehicles has canceled all scheduled road tests for Thursday.
