It was a gorgeous and comfortable start to our Monday, but then spotty downpours and storms popped up into the afternoon hours for VT & parts of NH.

These will continue to spread eastward through this evening, remaining north of the Mass Pike and eventually getting to the NH seacoast and southern Maine by 10pm before they fizzle out.

That means the Red Sox game this evening will be dry and pleasant with winds picking up to 15mph and out to center. The shower activity elsewhere dies down by midnight and it’s calm once again into Tuesday morning.

The calm before the next active weather day that is- as another disturbance slides across the area, ushering in more potent thunderstorms as well as more widespread thunderstorms by the afternoon and extending into the evening.

The severe threat remains lows as the humidity will not nearly be as high as this past weekend, but some could contain gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall.

Temperatures tomorrow, like today, will largely be in the 70s. Similar conditions persist Wednesday but changes begin to arrive Thursday with increasing humidity levels. Humidity soars into the weekend with dew points back into the 60s and low 70s for most, increasing the afternoon thunderstorm threat with severe cells a likelihood by Friday afternoon.

It stays warm and humid all weekend long and even into early next week, including possibly the 4th of July holiday. Humidity does start to trend back down by then, so we’ll keep you posted on the forecast for the Fourth as it gets closer.
