After picture perfect Thursday, clouds are on the increase tonight. It is a pleasant mild and dry evening with temperature slowly falling through the 70s to the 60s.

Late tonight the wind will pick up from the south and more humid air will move in for our Friday. There is a warm front crossing New England with a few showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Most of the day is not raining, but humidity will come up and so will the wind, gusting from the southwest 25 to 30 mph late in the day.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely for tomorrow night, with temperatures holding in the 70s and high humidity. We will also see fog developing near the shore.

A plume of moisture associated with the remnant of tropical storm Cindy will be in the region to start Saturday.

At the same time a new cold front from Canada will push cooler and drier air into northern New England.

The big question is how much, if any, rain for southern New England during the day Saturday? Let's call it a wet start from Connecticut to Cape Cod with the drying air coming in from northwest to southeast as the day goes on. The best weather Saturday appears to be western and northern New England. Humidity will gradually decrease and sunshine will increase with a high temperature in the 80s once again.

Sunday looks very nice with lower humidity and a good amount of sunshine with temperatures near 80°.

Another front moves in from the west on Monday, perhaps accompanied by some moisture from the south, bringing us at least spotty showers if not a steady rain by afternoon and overnight Monday night. Temperatures Monday in the 70s.

Tuesday should gradually dry out, with fair summer weather the middle of next week.
