Foggy with periodic rain to start off. We’ll start to see some breaks in the cloud cover by mid-afternoon. It will be muggy as highs reach into the low to mid 60s.

A few downpours this morning give way to scattered showers, before turning over to drier conditions by the middle of the afternoon.

If we see peeks of sunshine for a few hours, we could see high temperatures rise to near 70, especially in western New England. Areas closer to the coastline where fog will linger, high temperatures will likely remain in the low to mid 60s.

A few showers are possible overnight tonight with temperatures slipping into the 40s.

Sunday will be slightly cooler than Saturday with highs near 60 and a few late day showers. The day will bring a better chance to see sunshine across the area, but it will be on the breezy side especially along the coastline with gusts near 25 miles per hour.

The next week sees an unseasonably cool and wet pattern as with shower chances for most of the week. We see a series of low pressure systems meander over our area, bringing in periodic showers especially into northern New England on Monday and Tuesday with some of those showers changing over to snow flurries into the higher elevations of far northern Vermont and New Hampshire.

We settle into this pattern of mostly cloudy skies with a spotty shower from Monday through Friday. Another system has its eyes set for next weekend, but it looks like the bulk of the rain will be late Saturday into early Mother’s Day.

High temperatures next weekend will at least be slightly warmer with highs expected to reach into the lower 60s south, near 60 north.
