Tim Caputo is an evening anchor at NECN, and when he’s not bringing you the day’s top stories, he’s likely at Fenway taking in as many baseball games as possible.
In his career, he has bounced all over the country, but is happy to have called Boston home for the last decade. His first reporting job was in Roswell, New Mexico. Despite best his best efforts, he didn’t run into any aliens there. After working in Albuquerque for a few years he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, trading green chile for Carolina barbecue.
When he’s not on air, you’ll likely find Tim enjoying as many Red Sox games or concerts as Fenway as he can. A native New Yorker, he is a proud Mets fan (a team that shares a common rival as the Red Sox), but after 10 years of winters here, he considers himself a New Englander. Along with watching real athletes, Tim still plays sports, whether it's pickup basketball in the North End or football in Charlestown. A few winters out west in New Mexico reignited his skiing bug, and he embraces New England winters because it means great conditions on the slopes! He also considers himself a semi-pro Netflix binge-watcher.
Tim graduated from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Go Cuse!
