Boston Pizza Festival Returns to City Hall Plaza This Weekend

Thirty top pizzerias from New England and Italy will participate in the festival, event organizers announced Wednesday

Get ready pizza lovers. The Boston Pizza Festival is back in town this weekend and it’s going to be tasty.

The festival is the largest consumer pizza event in New England, according to event organizers. It will feature 30 of the top pizzerias in the region, including Regina Pizzeria and Fiorina Pizzeria. Multiple pizzerias from Naples, Italy, will also be serving pizza at the festival.

The directors of the festival, Raffaele Scalzi and Giancarlo Natale, started the event two years ago to showcase Boston’s best pizza and show off their Italian roots.

“We have an impressive roster of pizzerias representing the best Boston has to offer, along with some Raffaele and I handpicked coming to us straight from Italy,” Natale said.

Woburn’s The Dough Connection will provide all the dough while Catania Oils from Ayer will provide oil.

Along with the slices and pies, there will be pizza acrobatics, a children’s station, pizza-making demos and live music

Tickets cost $15, with slices starting at $2. The festival will take place on July 13-14 at City Hall Plaza from from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. each day. For more information on the festival and tickets, click here.
