'Hasn't Felt Like Home': Greta Van Susteren Departs Fox News After 14-Year Run

Van Susteren posted on Facebook that she was taking advantage of a clause in her contract to depart

Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren is departing the network after 14 years, the company announced in a statement Tuesday.

“We are grateful for Greta's many contributions over the years and wish her continued success,” the statement read.

The company made no indication why Van Susteren was departing or if she was heading to another network. But Van Susteren posted on Facebook soon after the announcement saying "Fox has not felt like home to me for a few years and I took advantage of the clause in my contract which allows me to leave now."

FOX News Channel’s senior political analyst Brit Hume will take over as anchor of "On the Record" starting Sept. 6 and running through the election.

The news came the same day 21st Century Fox announced it was settling a sexual harassment lawsuit with former anchor Gretchen Carlson.
