Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror

Nosferatu is coming to life in Boston!

A collaboration between Berklee College of Music and the Boston Pops, with conductor Keith Lockhart, will provide a full-length score to the classic silent horror film.

For eight students chosen by professor Sheldon Mirowitz for his film scoring class, the project was to create original music for "Nosferatu."

"This is the greatest class you could ever take," said Mirowitz. "We write a score for a film. And then we get the Pops to play it. And then they play it live in front of 2,400 people in the greatest place on Earth to hear acoustic music. It's unbelievable."

Lockhart has worked with the students for many hours over the past few months going over the score.

"Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror" will be presented Friday at 8 p.m. at Boston Symphony Hall. Click here for more information.
