Cassy Arsenault is a Massachusetts native who attended New York University for college and then started her career at Good Morning America as a live producer for Lara Spencer in New York City.
She then headed up a couple of floors, where she became an associate producer for Nightline, working closely with Cynthia McFadden. It was there she got to travel the country, producing segments about extreme bachelorette parties and monster truck moms.
From there, Cassy decided to take a leap of faith and try her hand in front of the camera. She went straight across the country to Salinas/Monterey, California. There she uncovered that city business license fees were not being used properly, and worked with scientists on the mystery of starfish wasting disease.
After a short stint in California, it was off to the Midwest as an investigative reporter for the Problem Solvers team at WXMI. She spent her days uncovering dishonest contractors, fraud, and injustices in the community that left people high and dry. She also got to act as a fill in anchor for a variety of shows.
Cassy also got to travel to South Sudan for a month and follow Michigan volunteers who opened the first hospital in the village of Werkok, shooting, editing and writing a mini-series in a third world country.
Now, she’s back in Boston, a place she calls home and is more than excited to be here. Growing up in the Bay State, she loves all Boston sports and a good bowl of clam chowder.
Cassy is always keeping busy, so when she’s not out reporting the news of the day you can find her playing piano, doing yoga, running, crossfitting, reading, listening to podcasts, snowboarding, snowshoeing, hiking, volunteering, and traveling wherever the wind blows her.
She has run six marathons (including Boston twice), is the oldest of four siblings and has lived in Paris.
