Celebrity chef and TV host Anthony Bourdain, who reportedly took his own life Friday at the age of 61, spent a lot of time in the Boston area. He got his start in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher in Provincetown, and returned here on many occasions over the years. In 2011, he shot an episode of "No Reservations" for the Travel Channel in South Boston. Three years later, he filmed an episode of "Parts Unknown" for CNN in Provincetown.
