Boston fanatics can now take the Mass Turn Pike if they hope to catch a glimpse of the beloved 17-time champion Celtics.
No, this is not a prank. The team, with the assistance of New Balance, built a massive 70,000 square foot practice stadium at Boston Landing. The forty-foot glass building towers the toll road, which is visited by 130,000 commuters daily. Named after its mascot, the new center will also be known as "Red's House."
Opened on Tuesday, the new facility was visited by Gov. Charlie Baker, Mayor Martin Walsh and Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck.
The gleaming, new building boasts a nap room for some rejuvenation, a generously-sized ballroom for events and of course, a shiny, green court.
