A Look Back: The Deadly Cocoanut Grove Nightclub Fire

Seventy-five years ago on Nov. 28, 1942, 492 people were killed and another 166 injured when a fire broke out at the Cocoanut Grove, one of the most popular nightclubs in Boston, Massachusetts.
Although the cause of the deadliest blaze in U.S. history remains a mystery, the devastating fire still influences fire and safety codes and how burn victims are treated.
