Japanese Emperor Naruhito Formally Ascends Chrysanthemum Throne

New Japanese Emperor Naruhito formally ascended the Chrysanthemum Throne on Tuesday in elaborate and traditional ceremony overseen by other members of the Japanese royal family, foreign dignitaries and members of the public watching outdoors in the rain.
