Dunkin' Donuts, Harpoon Brewery to Make New Beer

Harpoon Brewery is reportedly collaborating with Dunkin' Donuts to release a new beer this fall.

The release date is scheduled for sometime around late October or early November, which is a popular time for coffee beers, The Boston Globe reported.

The beer will be called Dunkin' Coffee Porter and will be bottled and canned in Dunkin's purple and orange colors. The beverage, which will be classified as a flavored malt beverage, will be brewed with Dunkin' coffee and have a 6 percent alcohol-by-volume content, according to the Globe.

Harpoon reportedly plans to distribute the Dunkin' Coffee Porter around the region.

This partnership is the second time Dunkin' Donuts has worked with a brewery, with the first being Worcester-based Wormtown Brewery.
