The store, located on Washington Street at Roslindale Village, is set to open in March.

The company plans to hire approximately 50 employees.

"We are building the best team in retail and looking for talented and friendly candidates to join us," said Kerome Coley, Target store team leader. "Our Roslindale store has been designed for the diverse community and provides a convienent one-stop-shop with a curated assortment of products and everyday essentials."

[NATL-NY] Democrats Release Memo to Counter GOP's FBI Claims

A redacted, declassified memo released by Democrats on the House intelligence committee Saturday aims to counter a narrative that Republicans on the committee have pushed for months — that the FBI and Justice Department conspired against President Donald Trump during his presidential campaign, abusing a secret surveillance process to spy on one of his operatives in its Russia investigation. Checkey Beckford reports.

The store will carry apparel and accessories for women, men and kids, groceries — including fresh produce and grab-and-go items, toys and sporting goods, home items, beauty, health, personal care products and baby care items, and a selection of entertainment and electronics products.

The Roslindale location will be Target’s 30th in the Boston area, following a recent store opening in Stoneham.

A statement from the company says, "Target has prioritized opening small-format stores to serve guests in urban areas and dense suburban neighborhoods with assortments that are tailored to meet the needs of local guests."

Small-format stores will also open this year in the Porter Square neighborhood in Cambridge and in Burlington.
