Nurse Suspended in New Hampshire Over Controlled Drugs Arrested

A nurse whose license was suspended following a Concord Hospital complaint that she diverted or attempted to divert controlled drugs has been arrested on charges that she possessed those drugs.

The attorney general's office says the charges against Kerry Bridges of Warren, Maine, stem from a May 14 report from the New Hampshire hospital, where Bridges worked as a traveling nurse from Maine.

Bridges' license to practice in New Hampshire was suspended on May 22; she was arrested Friday. She was arraigned as a fugitive from justice in Maine on Monday. The attorney general's office said it has not received word yet that Bridges has a lawyer.

Bridges is accused of diverting the drugs, documenting administration of narcotics without a doctor's orders, and having missing or unaccounted for narcotics.
