A man is in critical condition after being struck by a car while walking on Lowell Blvd in Methuen, Massachusetts.
At approximately 3:30 A.M. the Methuen Police responded to the area after a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. After an initial investigation, the police believe a 51 year old male was walking within the eastbound lane of traffic and was hit by a Honda Civic operated by Darlin Lantigua, 25, of Lawrence.
The male victim was airlifted to Boston Medical Center with life threatening injuries. His identity is being withheld pending notification of the family.
The police do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the operating of the Honda but the crash remains under investigation.
