1 Arrested After Police Respond to Barricaded Subject Situation

A man was arrested as police swarmed a house Wednesday in Natick, Massachusetts.

Natick Police responded to a report of a barricaded subject on Pond Street. A SWAT team responded shortly thereafter.

Police said they did not know whether the man inside was armed.

A family member called police around 3 p.m. to report concern about the man's well-being. The man, who is known to police, has mental disabilities.

Police tried to communicate with the man, but were unable to. Crisis negotiators responded alongside the SWAT team, which made its way into the house to find the man alive.

The incident ended peacefully, police said. No one was injured and no property was damaged.
