1 Dead, 2 Injured in Motorcycle Crash

New Hampshire police say motorcycle crossed center line

Police in Gilmanton, New Hampshire, say one motorcyclist is dead and two others were injured in a two-motorcycle crash that shut down Route 107 for several hours.

The Citizen of Laconia reports that the crash is the first fatal accident of Laconia Motorcycle Week - which wraps up its nine-day run on Sunday.

Police say a motorcycle carrying two people northbound crossed the yellow line on Route 107 at 5:20 p.m. Saturday and hit a motorcycle and drive heading south.

Police say the driver of the motorcycle that crossed the line was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the two survivors suffered serious injuries.

Police have not yet released the identities of those involved.

Gilmanton is about 15 miles from Weirs Beach - the hub of motorcycle week.
