One man was killed in a single-car crash in Andover, Massachusetts early Saturday morning.
The car, traveling northbound in the left lane on Interstate 93 just south of River Road, was occupied solely by the driver, 51-year-old Shannon Smith of Andover. A call came in reporting the crash at around 12:10 a.m.
The left lane was closed for almost two and a half hours.
Smith was transported to Lawrence General Hospital and later pronounced dead. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
