An investigation is underway after police say a man was fatally stabbed in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood while the city's Caribbean Festival was wrapping up.

The incident occurred just before 9:30a.m. at the corner of Columbia Road and Blue Hill Avenue, which was the end of the Caribbean Festival parade route.

“When I came, they started taping everything off," said Eric Babineau, who works nearby. "There was already a crowd of people because the parade was occurring when it happened.”

According to Boston Police, the man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died from the injuries.

Evidence markers were seen on the sidewalk where people lined the streets for the parade just hours before the incident. No information has been released on the suspect.
