Two people have died after a head-on crash Wednesday in Athol, Massachusetts, police said.
The crash happened on Route 2 around 7:45 p.m. according to Massachusetts State Police.
A 67-year-old man from Leominster was killed in the crash. The second driver, a 46-year-old man from Maynard, was rushed to Athol Memorial Hospital then taken to UMASS Medical Center where he died of his injuries.
There were no passengers in either vehicle. The crash remains under investigation.
