Man Stabbed in Face With Screwdriver Outside Starbucks; 1 Arrested

A man was stabbed in the face with a screwdriver outside a Massachusetts Starbucks Tuesday morning, and police do not believe the suspect they arrested knew the victim.

State police confirm the incident happened outside the Starbucks at Wellington Station in Medford.

The victim, a 30-year-old man, was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with injuries to his face. He is expected to be alright.

The suspect, 28-year-old Junior Dornevil, of Medford, was held without bail after being arraigned on assault related charges Tuesday in Somerville District Court.

Customers at the Starbucks say they had no idea anything was wrong until they saw state troopers. With the barracks nearby, police were able to respond quickly and arrest Dornevil.

According to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office, Dornevil and the victim do not know each other.
