15+ Fall Festivals: Apples, Fluff, Beer and a Whole Lot More!

It’s the season of apple picking, pumpkins, hayrides, corn mazes and more. And with it comes plenty of fun to have throughout the state. We gathered more than 15 fall festivals and events to help you plan your fun, fall, family outings all season long!

Sept. 15: Boxford Apple Festival

Since the 1960s, the Boxford Historical Society has been transforming the East Village for it’s annual Apple festival. Enjoy artisan vendors, local musicians, apple pie and more. Boxford.

Weekends Through Oct. 21: King Richard’s Faire

New England's largest and longest running Renaissance Festival is back for another season filled with entertainment, rides, games and more. Open weekends through Columbus Day. 235 Main St., Carver.

Weekends Through Oct. 28: Smolak Fall Festival Weekends

Grab the family and head to Smolak Farm for its Annual Fall Children’s Festivals every weekend through Oct. 28. Smolak Farms, 315 South Bradford St., North Andover.

Sept. 22: Fluff Festival

Celebrate the invention of Fluff at the 13th annual Fluff Festival on Saturday, Sept. 22 (rain date is Sept. 23). 3-7 p.m., Union Square, Somerville.

Sept. 22: Night Shift Brewing Oktoberfest

Celebrate Oktoberfest at Night Shift Brewing’s fourth annual celebration. Featuring NSB’s German inspired beers, the event includes a beer garden, brass bands, food vendors, lawn games and more. Night Shift Brewing, 87 Santilli Highway, Everett.

Sept. 27-30: Deerfield Fair

New England’s oldest family fair returns for its 142nd year of agricultural family fun.

Sept. 28 to Oct. 8: Topsfield Fair

Don’t miss this annual tradition as the Topsfield Fair is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year when it opens its gates from late September to early October. 207 Boston St., Topsfield.

Sept. 28-29: Harpoon Oktoberfest

Head to the Harpoon Brewery for its biggest festival of the year for their two-day Oktoberfest featuring beer, food, live music and more. Harpoon Brewery, 306 Northern Ave., Boston.

Sept. 30: Allston Village Street Fair

Enjoy Boston’s thisural festival complete with live music, food court, amusement area and more. Harvard Avenue, Allston.

Sept. 30: 5th Annual Tewksbury Fall Harvest Festival

Enjoy vendors, food, rides, games and more at Tewksbury’s 5th Annual Fall Harvest Festival. Livingston Street Complex, Tewksbury.

Oct. 5-7: HONK! Festival

Somerville opens its doors and businesses for the 13th annual HONK! Festival. With performances from street musicians from across the country and the globe, parades and a whole lot more.

Oct. 6: Nantucket Cranberry Festival

Join the Nantucket Conservation Foundation for its 15th Annual Cranberry Festival. Learn about cranberry farming, participate in family activities, sample cranberry treats and other New England classics and enjoy the music. Milestone Cranberry Bog, Nantucket.

Oct. 6: Cranberry Harvest Festival

Columbus Day weekend head to A.D. Makepeace Co and celebrate the New England tradition of the cranberry harvest during their old-fashioned family festival. Oct. 6 and 7, 158 Tihonet Road, Wareham.

Oct. 13-14: Wellfleet Oysterfest

Join the annual celebration of Wellfleet’s famous oysters, clams and deep-rooted shellfishing traditions at the Wellfleet Oysterfest. Oct. 13 and 14, Wellfleet Town Center, Main Street, Wellfleet.

Oct. 14: Lowell Oktoberfest

Lowell’s Oktoberfest has everything from local food partners serving up German inspired food to a beer garden with exclusive German beers, music and outdoor games for all ages. Lowell.

Oct. 14: Fall Festival & Great Pumpkin Dash 5K

The Annual Great Pumpkin Dash Revere Beach Fall Festival and 5K is fun for the entire family. There’s a Kids 1 Mile Fun Run, followed by the 5K. After the race stick around for their fall market and pumpkin festival. Revere Beach, Revere.

Oct. 20-21: Trick-or-Treat Hayrides

Don your costume and head to Marini Farm for its Halloween Hayride complete with children’s costume characters handing out treats. After head over to the farm’s Maze and Maze Park for a full day of fun. Marini Farm, 259 Linebrook Road, Ipswich. 

Oct. 27: Pumpkin Palooza

You don’t want to miss this annual event on The Lawn on D. Fun for the entire family with Halloween-themed activities, live music and more. The Lawn on D, 420 D St., Boston.
