2 Accused in Double Shooting Due in Court

Two suspects believed to be behind a double shooting in Arlington, Massachusetts, are set to be arraigned Monday morning.

Peter Harris, 37, and Stephen Meyer, 60, are accused of shooting two victims in a car near Thorndike Field Friday night. The glass was blown out of the windows on the passenger side. One of the victims was shot in the face. The other was hit in the abdomen.

The male victims drove about half a mile to the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Lake Street, where police found them. They were taken to area hospitals.

Meyer was allegedly run over by the victims as they escaped from the scene. Meyer was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and armed assault with intent to murder. He also had multiple felony warrants for his arrest.

Harris, who was arrested later, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, armed assault with intent to murder, and firearms offenses.

Police have not released the conditions of Meyer, nor the two victims.
