Two Massachusetts men have been arrested in Arizona in connection to a deadly double shooting.
The Northwestern District Attorney's Office says Soknang Chham, 33, of New Salem was arrested by U.S. Marshals Tuesday evening near Flagstaff on a warrant charging him with murder and armed assault with intent to murder. Soksot Chham, 35, also of New Salem, was arrested on a warrant charging him with being an accessory after the fact to murder.
Investigators say they learned the men, who are believed to be brothers, had left on a bus for Phoenix.
Thirty-one-year-old Jose M. Rodriguez died after being shot multiple times on Oct. 15 in an apartment in Amherst. A second man was seriously injured, but has since been released from UMass Medical Center in Worcester.
Both men are due in Arizona court to face extradition back to Massachusetts. It's unclear if they have attorneys.
The deadly shooting is still under investigation.
