Two Boston men are facing charges after driving more than 100 mph each while they were on their way to northern New Hampshire ski areas.
According to New Hampshire State Police, 23-year-old Michael Leach and 20-year-old Xintong Zhang were arrested for reckless driving within two and a half hours of each other on Thursday.
Both Zhang and Leach were traveling northbound to go skiing in New Hampshire. They were both pulled over on Interstate 93 in Holderness.
Leach was arrested just after 10:30 a.m. when a trooper observed his vehicle traveling at 107 mph in an area where the speed limit is 70 mph.
Zintong was arrested at 1:15 p.m. in the same area and by the same trooper as Leach. The trooper measured his speed to be 111 mph.
Leach and Zintong were both arrested and charged with reckless driving. They are set to appear in Plymouth Circuit Court on Feb. 15.
State Police remind drivers to slow down and use caution when driving. They say speed is one of the main causes of deaths on roads nationwide every year.
