Police Investigating Double Shooting Inside Massachusetts Home

Police believe the shooting was the result of an escalating, residential argument

Two men were shot Saturday afternoon after an argument escalated into violence in a Taunton, Massachusetts home, police said.

Police said that they responded to a call for a shooting on Erin Road, in East Taunton, shortly before 3 p.m.

Both victims are believed to be residents of that address.

Police said that the two male residents began to argue with each other inside of the home, and that the argument escalated to the point where a knife and a gun became involved.

One victim was shot multiple times, while the other was believed to have been shot once in his arm.

Both men were taken to the Rhode Island Hospital. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
