Fun Free Fridays

Highland Street Foundation’s Fun Free Fridays offers no-cost admission to some of the most treasured, cultural venues in the state. Today enjoy free admission to: the JFK Presidential Library and Museum, Plimoth Plantation, Commonwealth Museum, Lynn Museum, New England Historic Genealogical Society, Fort Devens Museum, Fruitlands Museum, Old State House, Berkshire Museum and the Museum of the First Corps of Cadets.

Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series

Join the Boston Public Health Commission, Boston Parks and Recreation Dept. and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts as they kick off the summer of 30 free outdoor fitness classes each week in and around the city. These free classes take place throughout Boston’s 18 neighborhoods and two dozen parks all summer long. Today try Bootcamp at 6:30 a.m. at Christopher Columbus Park in the North End or a walking group at 10 a.m. at Moakley Park in South Boston.

Connors Farm Peach Festival

It’s peach season, and Connors Farm in Danvers is hosting its annual Peach Festival. Enjoy farm animals, hayrides, the cow train, duck races, pedal carts, free pony rides and more. General admission is $14.95 (children 2 and under are free). 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Connors Farm, 30 Valley Road, Danvers. 

Pick Your Own Bouquet from the Cutting Garden

Pick your own bouquet today from the cutting garden at The Stevens-Coolidge Place. The Cutting Garden is open every Saturday and Sunday to early October with its special garden of annuals they grow every year just for cutting. There is a fee to cut flowers and you can stop by the tent to grab your scissors, cup and water before starting your bouquet.
