Fun Free Fridays

Highland Street Foundation’s Fun Free Fridays offers no-cost admission to some of the most treasured, cultural venues in the state. Today enjoy free admission to: the Boston Children’s Museum, Arnold Aboretum, Battleship Cove, Cape Cod Children’s Association, Nantucket Maria Mitchell Association, New England Historical Genealogical Society, Peabody Essex Museum, Sandwich Glass Museum, Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History and the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art.

Game Day on the Greenway

Join the Yasso Game On! Foundation for its second annual Game Day on the Greenway featuring a bungee run, QB toss, basketball, jump rope and free Yasso. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Rowes Wharf Plaza (between Atlantic and High Street).

TGIF at The Lawn on D

Harpoon Brewery Tours

Guided tours take place daily at Harpoon Brewery, giving visitors an up close and personal view of the brewing process. As part of the tour, visitors 21 and over will enjoy a range of freshly-brewed Harpoon and UFO beers. Tours last approximately one hour. Tickets are $5 and only available the day of the tour and can only be purchased in person. Noon to 6 p.m., Harpoon Brewery, 306 Northern Ave., Boston.

Trillium Garden on the Greenway

The Trillium Garden returns to the Greenway Wednesday through Sunday. Located at the corner of High Street and Atlantic Avenue, the Trillium Garden on the Greenway is Boston's first fully open-air Beer Garden, featuring draft beers by Trillium Brewing Co. and wine by Westport Rivers Winery. 2-10 p.m., Rose Kennedy Greenway, Boston.

City Winery on The Greenway

City Winery Boston and the Greenway Conservancy bring City Winery on The Greenway to Dewey Square this summer. This downtown open-air wine garden will feature wine by City Winery Boston, along with beer and cider from Harpoon Brewery. Head down today from 3:30-10 p.m., Dewey Square, Atlantic Ave, Boston.

Citizens Bank Weekly Cornhole Tournament

The weekly cornhole tournament, sponsored by Citizens Bank returns for summer.The first eight teams of two will compete for “Lawn Bucks.” All the fun starts at 6:45 p.m.. Sign up for free at the Citizens Bank kiosk starting at 6:30 p.m. The Lawn on D, 420 D St., Boston. 

Blue Man Group at the Charles Playhouse

Boston Harbor Hotel’s Summer in the City Entertainment Series: Movie Fridays “Jurassic Park”

Free Outdoor Movie Night: “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”

Head down to the Pier @ Residence Inn Boston Harbor for a free family fun eve featuring the original “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” Seating will be available, but you can also bring your own chairs and blankets. Astronomy After Hours

Enjoy a free night full of astronomy themed fun. Glasgow Lands Scottish Festival 2019

Celebrating it’s 26th anniversary, the Glasgow Lands Scottish Festival is the only Scottish Festival in Massachusetts, and the second largest in New England. Enjoy dancers, athletes, entertainment and more fun for the entire family. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Florene (Northampton). 

JFK Library Space Fest

Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon landing with a day full of activities for all ages with special visitors including former NASA astronauts, scientists and engineers.
